Dee Jay Silver isn’t your average DJ. The DJ/remixer/producer has become one of the most sought after DJs over the past 15 years, performing at premiere venues in virtually every major market in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The groundbreaking performer has thrilled millions with his high energy, open-format, party rock style of DJing and unique ability to blend all types of music from hip hop and rock to house and country for crowds of all sizes. The Texas native has been traveling the world playing every kind of event and venue from headlining the largest nightclubs and pool parties, high-profile celebrity parties and exclusive private events to massive sporting events, award shows, major music festivals and arena tours and all that’s in between.
“When I play, I play to the crowd! I let the crowd dictate where the party goes. I always want to step off stage with them wanting more! I want to play the music they want to hear, in a way they’ve never heard it before,” shares Silver. He always wants to make sure the crowd leaves with a unique experience every time.
Dee Jay Silver has headlined clubs around the world from Trinidad to the Dominican Republic, Mexico to Jamaica, Toronto to Turks & Caicos, and New York to Las Vegas. It doesn’t matter if it’s a big room house music party or a laid back pool vibe, Silver knows how to read the crowd and make the most out of every party. He has worked with the best and you never know who will show up to one of his shows.
His impressive list of residencies include current stints at the Rehab Pool at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas (for a third year), the Foundation Room Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay and the Foundation Room Dallas, with previous runs at GhostBar/GhostBar Dayclub, The Bank Nightclub, Light Nightclub and Body English in Las Vegas, among others. Dee Jay Silver has also been the touring DJ for country superstar Jason Aldean for the past 7 years. Silver is a mainstay at all Live Nation-produced music festivals across the country, has performed at the iHeartMusic Festivals in Las Vegas and Austin, and can always be found at any major event happening in the country, including the Super Bowl, MLB All-Star Game, NASCAR races, football games for the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans, NCAA National Championship, Spring Break and more.
Silver began DJing while attending college in Arkansas and later moved to Springfield, MO where, while working as a doorman for a club, his interest peaked and he began opening up the dance floor until the headlining DJ would come on. His sound has organically evolved throughout his career. “Being up in the Midwest, we looked up to guys like Bad Boy Bill, Alex Peace, Richard Humpty Vission, DJ Irene, and all of those cats in the Chicago area. I’d buy anything they put out. That was where it started for me. It was the hard house from Chicago. Back then, I was playing more hip-hop, house music and rock. Then, it progressed.”
In 2013, Silver signed a recording contract with RCA Nashville, becoming the first DJ to be signed to a major Nashville label. That year, he released a remix EP, Country Club, and in July 2016, Silver released his first original single, “Just Got Paid,” featuring vocals from indie singer-songwriter Austin Webb, who co-wrote the song with Silver in Nashville.
Since April 2014, Silver has also been the host of a nationally syndicated weekly radio show called “The Country Club with Dee Jay Silver,” that reaches over 90 markets and over 2 million listeners every Friday and Saturday night.
Silver is far more than a DJ. He has successfully made himself into a brand and taken his love of music and traveling and turned it into a lifestyle. “At the end of the day, I want everyone in the place to leave with a memory! I hope everyone has as much fun as I do…doing what I love each and every night.”
This is only the beginning. Silver has plans for an international tour built around paradise, another record of original music and remixes, and another great summer centered around Las Vegas!
